Much used in the metal smelting industry, eg Cowper Stoves for Blast Furnace heat
And for high temperature reactions with energy conservation, eg Nitrogen fixation.
Also proposed for final oxidation of CO2 gases for process use in Algae beds to
remove any trace chemicals. There may be a mineral catalyst available here to enable
lower temperatures. More compact designs than that shown above have been proposed.
Principle of heat storage in solids is worth study, very large amounts of heat can
be stored, a Trimblemill was powering a “block” heat store, capacity 85 kWhrs, size
1500 mm high, about 750 mm square. Connected to a hot air central heating system.
“Hot rocks” in a cellar can be heating from Solar sources during the summer, and
then used for building heating in the winter. Sweden has done much work on this see
